Accessible Dresser | Perspectives in Assistive Technologies (Stanford ENGR110/210)

  • Challenges
  • Inability to retrieve clothes
  • Limited access to drawers
  • Solutions
  • Horizontal and rotating dresser

Most dressers are not designed for wheelchair users. We created a dresser that leverages a "Lazy Susan" rotating design to enable greater autonomy in accessing clothing or other materials usually kept in drawers. Partnered with Elliot Helms, a Master's student in Mechanical Engineering, at Stanford.

Our gratitude goes out to Elliot Helms.
