Accessible Canvas | Perspectives in Assistive Technologies (Stanford ENGR110/210)

I realized that individuals with limited hand mobility struggle to paint on a canvas in its entirety. Additional support and/or assistance is traditionally required to rotate and reorient the canvas.

  • Challenges
  • Canvas painting restrictions
  • Solutions
  • Independent canvas navigation

I essentially envisioned a "Lazy Susan" rotating design, where the user could spin or swivel a canvas independently. I partnered with three undergraduate students from Stanford's Engineering 110/210 class to create a working prototype.
